I agree BMI Charts suck...I hate being categorized as MORBIDLY OBESE!

At 280lbs I am, too - such awful words - why can't we just be 'seriously overweight'? Equally factual but nothing like as ugly, IMHO!

I hate when ever you go to the doctors they use diagnosis codes and it seems they want to always use the code for obesity I hate it. I went in due to allergies he sent me to the lab only diagnosis code used was obese.

I have mentally struggled with the terminology as well.... I feel like I'm young and active and other than being overweight, I'm healthy -- "morbidly obese" does not describe my lifestyle at all - i spent a lot of time in tears trying to come to terms with it.

I hate that too! At 5'2" and 292lbs., I am also also morbidly obese according to their numbers!
