I had my surgery booked for October (a long lead up to it to tie in with my health insurance cover). Well I lost my job back at the end of May / beginning of June and been out of work since. Used up my savings and my tax refund wasn't as much as I'd hoped, so today I rang the doctor's office and cancelled my surgery. I figure I won't be able to afford it until next July now (with the proviso that I get a damn job soon). It's all a bit depressing, I was so eager to get the surgery done. Now I have to wait maybe another year for it to happen.
