WLA told me that there is an app to download to be able to contact your family in the states while in Mexico. Does anyone know how to do that or what app to go to?

We are in Mexico right now. We are using Skype and messenger.

I mean there is special app,, they just want to make sure you have an app to communicate with your family whether it's skype, Viber, whatsap, etc

Skype is good, but the HMN Hospital internet is horrible. The hotel internet is fantastic. I've been using Skype and MagicJack from the hotel. Best wishes and regards. I had my sleeve on Tuesday and I head home tomorrow.

You can even use the call function within Facebook. The HMN pushes is Viber.

I have sprint and can use my phone in Mexico. It's free and you just have to go to settings and set it up once you're in Mexico.
