    All,

If struggling after post op ask your specialist nurse about a product called WHEYHEY. There is a right up in Weight wathchers magazine. They make ice cream but it contains 22% protein. Available in holland and Barrett stores with freezers. At moment it is £2.69 for a very small tub but there is a deal on. Flavours are vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.

Hi... That's only flavour I didn't get lol!!! Strawberry is nice - I have it with natural yoghurt a peach slice and the juice as I'm really phonic about protein drinks etc, but this is ok - it ain't ben & Jerrys but still good way to take protein xx

    Hi there all,
I purchase "Quest" protein bars from Amazon and get them delivered. It's £18 for 12 bars. There's 20 grams of protein and only 2grams carbs and virtually no sugar. I get the chocolate cookie dough ones which are delicious! They are a really good way of taking protein if you just can't manage a meal, or for having one on the go in the car etc. I always carry one in my handbag wherever I go.
Also, I only eat Greek yogurt now - no fat and much higher protein than other yogurts. Mixed with a little honey makes a fab breakfast. There's protein in broccoli and spinach too!
I also eat 28gms of organic almonds daily. There the protein of one egg, the fibre of a banana, and the good fats of half an avocado in that portion which is amazing. Ipsince being sleeved, my diet has changed radically. Not just by the portion siEs of course, but by eating soooooo much healthier. I'm so much more aware of what I'm putting in my body, and the nutritional content. I look at every label now for its protein content before anything else!!
I also drink probably half a pint of milk a day in coffee and on its own. I eat the low fat babybels, and have just started to eat quinoa. This is quite a strange cous-cous type grain, but utterly packed with protein and if you cook it with a chicken stock cube is really nice.
I'm afraid I can no longer eat steak, or pork as it just gets utterly stuck in my throat and then I end up throwing up. I have substituted quorn which I seem to tolerate so much better. I haven't felt this healthy in a long time. I started pre-sleeve at 19.7 stone, and after just over six months I have lost 4 stone 4lbs and I'm more than pleased so far and I am still losing. I have a dietetics appointment on sept 4th so will keep you all posted!
Take care all you lovely British girls. Xx
