Hi, I am a sleever that was a lap bander first. I have an incision about my waist line that had my port in it. It still hurts and I will be 6 weeks out on Wednesday. I was just wondering if it was normal or should I call my doctor.

If that incision looks reddened, puffy, warm to touch, any foul smelling drainage, then call your doctor right a way. It may be infected. If none of those chances are there might be some scar tissue and maybe bruising that can stay tender for weeks. Have you tried taking 2 extra strength tylenol for the discomfort?

I'm not for certain, but there is one spot that started hurting me about 3 1/2 weeks out. I haven't gone to the dr but I believe it to be the cut they had to do in the muscle at the waist line on the left where they took out the other part of the stomach. I believe it takes muscle a bit longer to heal, especially if you are using them
