I thought it would be nice to have a site for those of us living a bit farther east. I'm scheduled to have my surgery on 20 Nov and am really getting "pumped." I was a bit concerned because there are no support groups in our local area and I know that it is so important to stay connected with others going though the same surgery. Would love to hear your comments, concerns and success stories.

Well--two of us is certainly a start!

I have a friend who went through surgery at NW Hospital in Tucson just 4 months ago. She's lost about 45 pounds and lots of inches. I'm trying to get her to join the site. Wish I could find a way to reach out to other locals--I'm sure there's more of us out there.
