A little about me: I'm 20 years old. I have Hasimoto's Thyroiditis. When I was diagnosed I weighed 165, I was put on levothyroxine and gained 65 pounds. I was 16 years old. After a long haul fight I finally was put on Armour Thyroid, and for the first time in 5 years my levels are all within optimal range. I'm just still having a lot of trouble loosing the weight. I currently weigh 208lbs. My Surgery is May 20, 2013!! ~Kelsey
I'm 40 and still battling it.
I had great results when I switched to Armour but I also adopted a very strict diet. Once I came off the diet weight was and is a challenge. I had to come off Armour when there was a shortage and did not do well with all the other options tried. Unfortunately I felt like a guinea pig for my pcp. I went back to the doctor who originally putme on Armour and they adjusted the dose back up but without the strict diet I have not seen the weight loss like before. I am scheduled for the sleeve and so hope and pray it will put me on the right path. I realize dietary adherence is paramount for any success even with the sleeve.
