So what is the pain management program like
I've read somewhere that you do not receive good pain management
    Post op ?

You are given non-narcotic pain killers, they do this so that patients are able to feel pains that might be associated with a potential problem or complication, rather than dulling out the patients to the point where they might not notice. I am sure some people aren't crazy about that, but it was enough for me, the only thing that ever hurt me was the gas pain. Its not like if you are in dire pain they will refuse medication to you, but they want you to be able to identify any uncommon pain, and have the ability to notify the doctors asap so that they can catch issues as early as possible and correct them. I really liked that approach, and it shows in their nearly non existent complication rate that it is a good option for the patients as well. By like day 3 or 4 I didn't even need my meds for pain, and really couldn't even tell I had just had major surgery.

I stayed over an extra day in SD so I could go to a casino and see a bit of the town, and I actually ended up on the side of the road changing a tire for this sweet little old lady...she was like 80, and she couldn't believe that I was able to do all that for her being freshly out of surgery. I promise that you will be surprised when you are on the other side by how fast you bounce back.

no u dont need anything stronger than what the hospital provides.. you may think you do because western doctors over medicate and thats what you think u need.. but trust all of us who used this Dr. the meds they have are plenty and if drugs are what you think you need them the dr would have stronger meds for you .. if you are in pain .. so dont worry.. but you wont need narcotics.. what little pain you have is necessary to make sure there are no issues.. there is no need post op either.. i was given pain meds and still have em.. never used em..

@DELICIOUS I haven't posted much since I got home, things went well for me but it was a weird thing to got thru all alone. I'll try to put something together so I can share how things went since I have had a few people ask. I am 11 days post op and feel really good I have lost 10 pounds since I left for Mexico so I feel that is great. Thanks for caring.
