I had my one month post-op this morning (hysterectomy to stop hemorrhages)
so far I'm doing great, still little pains but no more bleeding.
The surgeon seemed very happy about all the scars and cleared me to start (finally!!!!) my exercise routine in two weeks!! Counting the days!
Pathology report was good too. I'm very glad I did follow my instinct and went for the "full surgery" and not the conservative. Because the report did show several issues that the MRI didn't even see, and it could have been bad to wait.
I'm so relieved!!! I've been cooked up since October with "the plague " and since my asthma finally stopped last month I do feel now is the time to get things moving.
Because my stomach repair will be around May 15, again after that I will be stuck for 4 weeks of recovery/not moving!! So I'm planning on using that month in between to rebuilt my stamina and go slow but be really persistent with working out...plus the weather is lovely lately, it will help!
Indeed that last surgery made me gain weight (2 days in hospital : 6 kgs!!)....no surprise here. I lost half of it during the past month but the grand total of the weight gain is starting to be scary. I'm almost reaching 30 pounds now!!
I'm not really stressed about it at that point because I know that those kilos are just temporary, they will go away faster than my decades of bacon...but that might not be as fast as I hope...we'll see!
At 2 weeks post-op I had a little walk...was too long and I had to stop for a while because it did increase the bleeding!
Today I did walk +3k, that's much more than I did in a very long time, was too much.
Tonight I came back from Paris very much in pain. I can feel I still need time before being 100% : can't wait!
