Well, I hit the 5 month mark at 80 pounds down. I even got thru Thanksgiving week losing a few. . It's funny, bc the week before I didn't lose. Mom made my favorite pies SUGAR FREE. I'm so blessed to have such support. The baked sweet potato with butter and a sprinkle...i mean sprinkle of brown sugar got me pretty nauseous and a little pukey. I think it was the butter actually... I've had no butter at all since surgery and I very rarely had it before. Live and learn. Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs

Congrats Billiejo! You are doing great. You look fabulous. Isn't it funny how something will make us sick even that far out. Our bodies are only looking for nutritious foods. I know that I would see something bad for you and this it looked good and then take a bite/sip and want to gag. I used to be a huge diet dr. pepper addict. Naturally it had to stop as it is a carbonated beverage. At about 3 months post op I took a sip of one....and I honestly thought I was going to puke. It was the nastiest thing I had ever tasted. I could not believe I used to drink that stuff all day long. To this day I have not picked back up the soda habit. I have no desire to have it.
