So it has FINALLY happened! I hit the 30 lb weight loss since surgery (I lost weight pre surgery so my total weight loss is 50). I am so excited about this. Especially since it is my time of month which used to always be accompanied by a temporary weight gain of a few pounds. My weight loss has slowed but I am still steadily losing so I am okay with that. I already knew I would drop a little slower and not to compare myself to others. But hitting this milestone was a mixture of excitement and relief.
Today is also the day I take my measurements. I have lost a lot of inches since surgery. I kind of regret not taking my measurements before losing the 20 lbs during pre op dieting. Oh well. So to date since my surgery 9.5 weeks ago I have lost 7 inches off of my waist, 5 off my booty, 1.5 off my bicep (I really need to step up my weight training with my arms), 5 off of my bust, and 5 off my thighs (I have big legs). I am extremely happy with all of this. Especially with my thighs since I have big legs and I feel like they are looking pretty good. I am definitely going to continue strength training and hoping I won't need skin surgery on my thighs.
Also started my week 2 of the C25K program. It was so cold this morning but I bundled up and off we went. Felt great. This week it is a 5 minute warm up, then running for 90 seconds followed by walking for 2 minutes for a total of 21 minutes, and then the 5 minute cool down. So far no difficulties with the program. I had a little soreness the first week but not enough to make me not run. I just used some icy hot and a heating pad on my sore muscles. This week so far no soreness.
My new eating lifestyle is still going well. Not really tempted by any foods. Still eating low carb with really no issues. If I really want a taste of something I will allow myself a very small bite. Nothing that is going to kill my calorie intake or what not.
