I have a question, would it be a bad idea to drink just shakes and eat veggies for a few days? I never thought I would say this but I'm so tired of meat.
I don't see why it would be bad. I went back to shakes for a bit, too, because I didn't think I was ready for the progression.

I stay nauseous in the evenings and I'm measuring 3oz but not able to eat it all. I honestly don't think my system likes meat anymore.
you do whats best for you
Dr wiener believes in a vegetarian diet. Have you seen those videos? His book is called "a pound of cure". The pound refers to a pound of vegs and fruits per day.f
Now and again I just dont fancy meat and have a tiny bit of potato with baked beans or veggie omelet
Eat what you like, Donna!!

Have me strictly on meat and veggies. Today I had 2 protein shakes and roasted veggies and I've had no nausea at all. Plus my sugars stayed in the 120 range.

look into plant proteins. use veg with protein...google Vegan Bariatric and you'll find lots of great meatless recipes. You can also lessen your oz...try dropping down to 1 oz for bit.

No nausea but feels like it's sitting heavy if you know what I mean.
I have cut back meats to more shakes, my body not liking all the meat also/ use Nectar shakes are like juice not that thick shake texture
Fish, eggs, tofu (lovely tofu steaks at Trader Joe's, the fresh one, not the frozen it's only carbs). My protein powder are actually only vegan, whey makes me sick. I was nauseous for several months, that was not because of the meat in my case but a side effect of the surgery (doc said it's changing hormones in the stomach...) and also from the PPI. The day I lowered my dosage, nausea was gone! I hope you will feel better! nausea is difficult! take care
I know what you mean Donna about the heavy feeling. I notice the difference between turkey is easy for me to eat and settles well a very small hamburger I can eat if a thin bun. Went to eat Thai Food total bust. Just too spicy ordered it mild. Disappointing. I feel like my tastes or so different now and I have no idea. I eat dark chocolate covered almonds, cottage cheese, my smoothies. I take all my vitamins but food is a challenge.
