My surgery is in 3 months. I'm going with a group of girls and some need that extra time to save up money. I worry about taking that kind of money over the boarder but I guess "everyone does it" I'm 5'4 and 190. Bmi 32. My biggest worry with the surgery is getting to skinny. I don't want to be under 120 for sure. I would prefer 130-140. And... the old face look. Real skinny people have that extra skin from the weight loss and I'm scared of that

I lost the weight from 227-192 on my own. I actually lost 60 and gained back 30. I just keep yo-yoing. So 227 is my highest weight

Please be prepared because it is a very real possibility that you could lose more than you want. I say this because it has happened to me, I am 7 1/2 months post-op and started at 200lbs. 5'7" and I am down to 130. I am very big boned so my ribs stick out like crazy and oh the very best part bye bye boobs but I will be fixing that down the road. As for the sagging skin you need to get your protein in and work out specifically for muscle building so you stay toned for the most part. Also be prepared for people asking you if you are sick because if you lose too much and they will and if they don't know about your surgery you need to have a story ready in your back pocket. This is just one of downsides of this weight loss surgery but I can hands down say I wouldn't change it for the world, I will take the way I feel and look over the old me any day of the week. This is honestly the best gift I have ever given myself and that says allot. I wish you luck with your surgery just really think it thoroughly through because there are people out there that do regret it so as long as you know all of the pros and cons you will be the happiest you've ever been. Good Luck!

I have to laugh when I see these questions (and similar posts) asking if one is scared they will lose too much weight. I laugh because I think of me personally and how I don't think that will EVER happen to me. In fact, I'm sure it won't. I think this is more of a common concern for people who don't have a lot of weight to lose...like 100 + pounds.

I had wanted to loose 110lbs, I was sleeved at 255lbs December 30, 2014. Today I'm between 130 and 136. I say that because I have been avoiding the scale. Last time I weighed myself but naked I was 130. The scale at rite Aid put me at 136.....with my clothes and boots on.
Like Zoey said, it is possible to loose too much. I'm struggling with that as we speak BUT I wouldn't change anything either. I'm hoping to gain now.....so messed up to go from thinking I'll never loose all this weight to loosing too much and wanting to gain.
As for carrying the money over the boarder. If you are carrying cash then I reccomend stashing the cash on your body. Take 2 or more plastic bags, put the cash in and seal it. Tape really well to your legs and wear stocking over it. Then you pants.

I was a little bigger than you when I was sleeved. Im 9 mos out and down 69 lbs. My skin bounced back fine, I think that can be a worry for some but not with less than 100 pounds to lose.
