Hair Loss Question???

So my dear Hubs is set for Surgery next month. I had the Surgery 2 1/2 years ago. My question is do men have the same issues with Hair loss as women do?? I had hair loss but I have a full head of hair so It was ok. He not so much... Just wondering. He found out he was going to have a catheter during surgery and I think he was about to scrape the thing. Bless his heart he is not a fan of anything medical.

    I am almost five months post-op and have had no hair loss. I'm not sure what causes hair loss, but I have heard that not getting enough protein early on can lead to hair loss at about three months post-op. I had a catheter for two days after the surgery. Very unpleasant, to say the least, but the surgery was worth it.
