Well, I am almost 4 months out, and have a few updates to report. First, if you are getting sleeved in Mexico, I highly recommend purchasing enough Nexium to last 6 months (at least). I recently ran out, and had to go back to using what Dr. Aceves' office gave us (Pantozol), which is not nearly as good. Subsequently, I purchased the Costco brand (Kirkland) equivalent of Prilosec, and that seems to be working fairly well, although not as good as Nexium. The price was reasonable, though.
About weight loss - I have only lost 37 pounds thus far. I am a slow loser, but struggle with PCOS, so that explains part of it. The good part is that I am only 5 pounds away from "Onederland" - YEA!
About eating: I still struggle with not eating slow enough, resulting in the "stuck" feeling in my chest (and leading to trips to the restroom). I am loving plain greek yogurt (full fat or 2% - FAGE is a good brand). Do ok with coffee, although I think it leads to some heartburn. I think I need to focus more on getting my protein in every day. It is nice to be able to have little bits of many foods now. I am loving the way clothes are fitting me. Looking forward to being in non-plus sizes for pants/shorts. Thankfully, I can wear XL tops (and some large-size as well) now.
I am so glad I had the procedure done, although I sometimes wish I could just eat "normally" and not worry about the stuck feeling. I exercise almost everyday, usually a walk or bike ride. Hope to up the effort to sweat more!
Have a great day!
