migrain medicine

Ive reached my goal weight! I have migraines and have taken preventative meds before and they caused huge weight gain! I'm taking a preventative again one I have not taken GABAPENTIN its a low dose! I reálize I have to treat my migraines because they are very dibilitating. I fear weight gain almost more then the headaches though! Any body else out there with advice about this med or how to not gain this time! I cant take topamax I know it does not cause weight gain but it did not work properly for me!
Any advice appreciated!!

    I'm not real familiar with the gabapentin as far as migraine treatments. I take Nortriptyline right now for mine and they have managed my migraines well over the past 5 years. I haven't noticed a weight change with them... Just ballooned in weight when I started taking Birth Control pills.
