I'm going to give the reader's digest version of the article. You body can only absorb 42 grams of protein at one meal unless you have a digestive problem, then you will absorb less. The need factors range from 0.5 (sedentray, no sports training) to 1.1 (heavy weight trainer, athlete doing "2 a days training"). Even though your body will absorb this much protein, it may not utilize that much. All most all of us can easily get enough protein for maximum muscle growth without the need for eating 42 grams of protein sever times throughout the day. Here is the formula:
Lean Body Weight x Need Factor = Protein Required
LBS x 0.5 to 1.1 = (grams)
