Don't drink the water. Walk after surgery as much as possible to help with th gas. Take a heating pad. It has helped with gas pain. The chicken broth is delicious! Ask for more if you need it. Check with your cell phone company before you get here to verify what you need to do so you can make and receive calls. Bring something to read or a cross word puzzle or something to do. It gets a little boring. That's all I can think of at the moment. Everything has been great. Very organized. Hotel is nice and the hospital is clean.
