  1. Sounds like your blood sugar is doing great! As far as a workout partner, have you tried putting something on craigslist? I have seen those kinds of ads before - just a thought and it doesn't cost anything. I have asked my husband to help me by going with me to the gym. That has helped some but I still struggle with motivation.
  2. Hope you are well. Still no significant weight loss but I went to the doctor yesterday and my A1C is almost normal. Cholesterol is very high compared to when I was on meds but the doc says that she has seen it take months to go down. My thyroid is a little off so she is going to retest me.

I still can't find anyone who wants to workout or walk with me.
  3. I think that as long as I continue to eat less than 1000 calories/day, I will eventually be "normal weighted". If I exercise and eat good stuff instead of bad stuff, it will just happen faster. Casino and eclair sounds like heaven to me!
  4. I forgot to mention that some days I may eat 2 sandwiches a day, for my egg and cheese and my PB sandwich.
  5. I was bad yesterday, I will tell you about it later in the letter.

I am amazed how much of some things I can eat but others not too much. Most of the time for breakfast I have 2 eggs and about 2 tablespoons of grated cheese. Today for breakfast I ate a sandwich with 4 slices of Spam, one egg and cheese. Lunch 1/2 cup of turkey salad, 1/4 of a Roma tomato, 12 slices of avocado, and 1 croccatini. For dinner, 1/2 cup of clam chowder, 1 small crab cake, 1 piece of shrimp. Snack is 1 Quest protein bar. This is much less and different types of food than I used to eat. On my work days in addition to my 3 meals, I eat a peanut butter sandwich with 2 tablespoons of PB. During the night I may eat 1/4 cup of cottage cheese. 1/4 of Greek yogurt, and 1/4 cup of Jello.

I have not lost a pound since Feb. 8th. I have not been exercising.

How I was bad. I took a bus trip to a casino and someone bought me a huge chocolate eclair, loads of cream, I ate the whole thing.
  6. I have to keep reminding myself that this is not a "diet" but how I am going to eat for the rest of my life. I am eating much smaller portions than before surgery and not feeling deprived at all. However I seem to be able to eat more than lots of other folks on here. My weight loss has not be really fast, but it is continuing to move in the right direction. Try to stay positive... getting flirted with is a definite NSV!
  7. I wish I had someone to exercise with, it's so tough for me to do by myself. I must look better however because one of my patients last night was making passes at me, lol. I have been eating things that I should not. Truly, I do not have a taste form them but eat them anyway, I have to stop. I do not know if my sleeve has stretched or not, I seems to eat a lot of food, nothing of course the way I used to but more than after surgery. I guess I can compare it to the frozen weight loss dinner portions. Fluids are really tough for me. I used to always drink a lot, even before surgery, now it seems I only get half of what I used to get. I try to eat jello and eat Popsicles to help get more in. Maybe next week I will try to do the 5 day diet to get back on track.
  8. I have been really lazy about exercising. I only lost 8 pounds in Feb so I think it is time to get serious and start moving. Ugh.
  9. No exercise yet. I really need to. I have thyroid problems and think that I should be exercising but it is tough for me without a partner.
  10. I am doing ok... still concerned because I seem to be able to eat and drink more than I should be able to. I get "hungry" which is really just an emptiness about 3 hours after I eat. I had frozen yogurt the other night with reeses on top (at a froyo place) and it was amazing! I couldn't finish it all though so maybe I will still be ok. I still don't have a ton of energy, but each week seems to get a little better. Glad you are doing well! Are you exercising yet?
  11. Hope you are doing well. Finally broke my stall by doing 2 days of full liquids. I am on stage 4 but decide to work it in slowly. I love pasta but it does not sit well with me at all. Two eggs and shredded cheese every morning. At work I get their grilled chicken sandwich. I can eat the whole thing but it takes all night. Still having problems getting 64 ounces of fluid in but my protein is great.
  12. Wow! 30 pounds is awesome!! Why do you say you are not doing well? Personally I think that if you are losing weight, you are doing fine. I am still very sluggish and not exercising either. Some folks say it took them 8 weeks to feel normal again after surgery and I am thinking I am one of those. I can tell when I do too much because my stomach starts hurting which I think is my staples pulling.
  13. Hello. I have not been doing very well. I'm having a very tough time getting all my fluids in. I am doing very well with the protein. Sometimes I feel like I'm eating too much. I have not started exercising. But I did lose 30 pounds since my surgery. I'm stalled right now, I guess I need to exercise.
  14. How are you doing? I am still losing, slowly but surely! Started on soft foods last week which is great. I sometimes feel empty but not really hungry. I am still not exercising regularly but plan on starting this weekend. Let me know how you are!
  15. I have a stick blender also and purchased the Magic Bullett. I think the foods that I have been trying to eat are too spicy and making my stomach angry. I had some pistachio pudding this morning and did not get what I thought was hunger pangs. I just can't stomach those premade shakes now, the unflavored whey is awesome and lets me get more protein in.

I do not want to lose fast, I heard slow is better as not to have so much loose skin.
