I'm glad you've remained optimistic. By the eat, the gas-x was a life
Saver!!!!! I'm on day 7 post op. Apparently I've been
Exercising too much. Oddly has seemed to delay healing.

After normal exercise the past couple days, I'm finally
Feeling less pain. But the liquid hydrocodone and
Compound pharmacy adult strength liquid sugar-free Tylenol
Are beginning to smell terrible in my nose: to the
Point where I feel like emesis...

They take the edge off the pain but Yuk!!!
I hate the taste of meds!

Wish me lunch tomorrow. Dental work wrapping up.
More pain :-(

I see you mentioned wanting to know about what things to take to hospital...
You may choose to add or take away as needed LOL.

BEFORE SURGERY - THINGS TO TAKE TO HOSPITAL

- Anti-Petrolatum Lip Balm

- No Nail Polish - Or At Least Make it Clear. Surgeon may need to check your circulation visually and polish will cover nail-bed.

- Dry Mouth Aide - Oasis OTC, Biotene (Only spray or drops)

- Sugar-Free Tylenol Liquid - Please Get 'Adult Strength'

- Hair Loss Aide - Natol Fast Dissolve or other (foam if available)

- Protein - At Least 20g Serving (At Least 40g needed a day)
Choose low-carb low sugar low calorie. 100% Whey is always best.

- Liquid Vitamins post-surg. Later on (according to Ur Doc), you may eat chewable vitamins

- Take Own Pillow with Dark Coloured Case so it will stand out.

Use it to sleep comfortably (only on back apparently), and to protec your stomach for the turns and bumps on the ride home from hospital

- Avoid any NSAIDS and Steroids unless Doc says otherwise. Ultran & Tylenol are okay.

- Lortab can be used as pain killer if prescribed ( it is a narcotic by the way)

- I like the idea of a nice calm book on cd or digital music player (in cd player or ipod, something you must remember to bring back home and not leave in hospital).

Hope it helps but didn't see any strips however, there are other clear alternatives and
MOM or Milk of Magnesia. As with anything, please make sure whatever you choose is
okay with your doc.
