  1. 50 is the new 40... Right??

    Hello All,
It has been a while since I posted anything. I had my Sleeve surgery on 2/26/18. I was 212 pounds at 5'3". I am thrilled to say with healthier eating and exercise, I weighed myself and am down 64 pounds to 148 :-). I am 13 pounds away from my goal. It has been hard work. Bad news - My stomach isn't quite ready yet. So I will continue to primarily eat pureed and liquid foods while very slowly introducing solids.

    Good news - I am released ...
  4. 25 Days Out - 26 Pounds Down - Counting My Blessings

    Happy Friday!!

As I sit here on this cloudy Texas morning, eating my lightly scrambled egg with a sprinkle of cheese I am counting my blessings. I am about halfway finished and I am feeling full. I count that as a blessing. I remember the days not too long ago when I could and would eat an entire medium thin crust pepperoni pizza and not blink an eye. I felt full-ish after it was all gone. I would buy two medium thin crust pepperoni pizzas because I love a two-fer bargain deal ...

Today marks the first day of Phase Three - Pureed Foods stage. The Bariatric center I am going to put together a very comprehensive manual to follow. There are even recipes. This morning I made Maple oatmeal. I added some unflavored protein powder and used Almond Milk (as I
