  1. Help? Anyone with sleep reflux?

Twice since I've been sleeved I feel like I'm having horrid reflux that almost makes me feel like I'm choking. The worst part is the medicine taste so I'm wondering if I'm taking my BP meds too close to bedtime and they don't dissolve enough and reflux back up. It's a horrid feeling and I can't get the taste out of my throat. I started taking them a few hours before bedtime now. But then it happened again last night. I do take an OTC sleep aid so I'm wondering if its not dissolving totally and ...
  2. Home again, home again

I made it back home and feel fantastic. I am still getting used to that full feeling - or the feeling when I drink too much of a sip. What I find interesting is the post op plan given to me by my doc. It stretches things out a lot more. When comparing to other online post op plans mine won't start on solid foods for nearly 2 weeks after every other one has you starting on them. Just out of curiosity - do any of you remember when you could start eating 1-soft foods (like scrambled eggs) and ...
  3. Feeling a little miserable. Any advice?

I had my sleeve 2 days ago. Back to the hotel yesterday and the nausea started. A few tiny sips and wham. Walking a ton. And last night I threw up so called the doc. Going in for the barium test this morning. He says I'm probably really inflamed so they will give steroids to me. Anyone else have this happen. I feel totally fine until I try to get anything down. My fear is I fly home tomorrow so then what. Any advice is appreciated.
  4. T-minus 3 days. . .

Wednesday is the day. I fly out on Tuesday - start the all liquid diet tomorrow even though it feels like I've been doing all liquid for 3 weeks and today leaves me some reflection. I hope I'm doing the right thing with this. I lost 20 lbs since I confirmed my surgery date which is awesome but makes me think - maybe I could do this without the surgery. I totally know this isn't a realistic food plan for long term that I'm on, so I think its just those self doubts. I've read some negative things ...
  5. Day 1 pre-op diet and the siren of lemon bars

We got home from Vegas yesterday and was doing great while there. I did gain a pound, but when you have no options sometimes on eat its tricky! My saving grace was making protein drinks in the morning to help keep it under control.

Today I started the 3 wk pre-op diet. My surgeon has me doing vitaleph. I had protein shakes for lunch and breakfast and then for dinner I had mahi mahi, leafy green salad with no calorie dressing I found at Wal Mart, 1/2 c of cottage cheese. So ...
