  1. 2 Weeks post op appointment

I had my two week post op today. I lost 13 lbs. Felt like I should have lost more. I know I'm being totally ridiculous. The Dr has now moved me to pureed foods. Not really fun but lots better than only liquid. He says I'm not getting enough calories. Wow. Me not getting enough calories...Lol I'm only taking in about 600 a day. He Saud I should aim for 1200. Not as easy as you'd think. I'm getting in 70/80 grams of protein a day and 80 oz liquid. He told me no matter what I do that I will lose weight ...

  3. On the losers bench! Sleeved 4/13/15

Finally had my surgery! The first week is only what I cam refer to as hell week! I'm finally feeling better. Still feeling hungry? What's up with that? Only liquids still and looking forward to real food. I don't know my post open weight yet. I decided not to weigh until my appointment with the surgeon on Wednesday of this week because I've heard of people gaining weight from all the fluids in the hospital.
  4. Question??

Why is it that they tell you not to drink from a straw after surgery and will I ever be able to again? I don't like drinking from restaurant glasses.
  5. The Good News and the Bad News!

The bad news is that I got the results of my sleep study. I have obstructed sleep apnea and stopped breathing an average of 26 times an hour. The good news is that because of that I will be approved for my surgery!! Now its just doing the three months of nutrition and weigh ins!! It really sucks to have to be so sick in order to get insurance approval.
