It's been one year since my surgery and I am sooooo happy. Best thing I ever did for myself. Considering how horrible my first three months were, I have been very lucky, I have never had a stall, weight has just kept coming off. Start weight 142.5 kgs (314 lbs) now 85.3kgs (188 lbs).
Well I'm 4 months post op and am finally feeling better. I've had to do lots of research to find the answers I needed to fix my bile reflux, but I did it and I am doing well. I started on home made veggie juice three times a day plus vege soups, Then I added some natural products from a naturopath. After two weeks I was able to manage more solid foods and the vomiting had stopped. I'm now eating about 700 calories a day and haven't vomited for nearly 4 weeks. Lots more energy and just ...
Well it looks like I have bile reflux, the cause of my resent nausea and vomiting. It is so horrible. Not much help from my doc in the way of treatment. Anyone else suffer from this and how do you manage it, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Had my surgery 10 weeks ago, and a leak was found 7 weeks ago, got out of hospital 5 weeks ago and I'm still struggling with my food. I get these sick feelings in my tummy all the time that feel like hunger pains combined with nausea, but I have no appetite, so eating is really hard. I'm hoping this will start to change soon and I will start to feel better. I'm taking an antacid from my doctor and trying really hard to get in my protein, if anyone out there has any ideas or suggestions or just encouraging ...
Well I am sleeved, feeling pretty good at the moment, had some nausea yesterday morning but apart from that I'm doing great. Hardly any gas pains at this point, get my leak test and drain removed today, so should feel better after that. I'm very happy
