  1. 5 Week Check Up

    I just met with my surgeon for my 5 week check up. I have lost a totally of 36 lbs since surgery, which is great. Since my last check in I think I had a little stall, but I'm not worried since I know stalls will happen from time to time.

  2. First Post-Op Check in

    So I've just returned from my first doctors appointment since being sleeved and I'm proud to report that I have lost 30 pounds since my two week pre-opt diet and surgery. I went in to the appointment thinking "Don't be disappointed if they tell you that you have only lost like 10lbs. 10lbs is still weight gone...for good." Well the smile on my face when they told me I had lost 30lbs was just priceless.

  3. Well I'm Sleeved....

    So I was finally sleeved last Wednesday. I have to say it has been a rough road since last week. I was in the hospital for three days and the pain was just out of control. Unfortunately due to the pain meds I had a terrible cause of nausea that they could not control right away. The doctor's were concerned because I had 2 days of dry heaving/vomiting and they were worried about the new incision being affected. On Friday I woke feeling better and I passed all of my tests.   4. Tomorrow!

    So I'm sitting in my office, getting ready to leave at 12:30. I decided to take a half day to get everything ready for tomorrow, my surgery day.

    What's really crazy is that I am normally a very anxious person and right now I'm just calm as can be. Tomorrow will probably be different, but right now it's like any other Tuesday at the office.

    I'm will say I'm treating myself to a massage after work to help keep the stress level low and then home to pack. I am still waiting ...
  5. Pre-opt Diet - Day 6

    So I'm on day 6 of my pre-opt diet and I have to say I have been struggling. I hate the taste of my shakes and I'm tired all the time. I started drinking GNC Total Lean and the Premier Protein pre-made drinks and I just can't do it. They are just terrible and I basically had to gag my way through them. I'm lucky that I have a health food store across from my office and they made protein smoothies with fresh fruit and veggies but the problem is they are so expensive.
