Last night my 8 year old came downstairs after having a nightmare. Eyes were red and swollen and his cheerful demeanor was gone. I had him snuggle in my lap while we watch TV. Soon after getting in my lap Bart, the alien in my stomach now, started to scream. He thought is was the funniest thing. Bart was extra loud last night. My son was able to go back to bed.

I do work in a surgical ICU that does deal with weight loss surgery patients. That is one reason why after 4 years of it being recommended I decided to have surgery. One of the first things I was taught that working the medical field you will develop a black sense of humor. It does come in handy.
