    Well, I went to the consultation yesterday and I think it went well. The doctor spent over an hour with me going over different options, explaining everything and giving me a lot to think about.

    The only "hitch" I can see in moving forward is that the local surgical center my doctor works with doesn't accept my insurance, so I would have to go the hospital he practices in which is about 50 miles away. That won't be a problem for the surgery itself, but for all the pre-op ...

    Well, it's about an hour before I'm due to leave for my consultation appointment and I am flipping back and forth between being excited and being nervous. I feel like I am right on the brink of something huge and it is scary.
