Thank you for your kind words and for understanding! I'm with you; I'm much more in tune with body than I ever was before surgery. I know it's best to listen to my body, but as someone who is a planner, it's hard to deviate!

Have an incredible birthday, and truly "the best is yet to be" is a thing.

I am turning 66, so past middle age! Unless I hit 132! (coincidently is my goal weight! And IQ)

Yes ladies. Sometimes being type A is frustrating because we have an all or nothing mentality. But going to an A- can be so rewarding.....we NEED goals because lets face it....that is who we are...BUT we can actually enjoy who we are with a little wiggle room! Love you ladies!

Christie13, you are both totally on track. It's amazing that we focus on one small thing (or maybe not amazing) and lose sight of regaining our life

Thanks so much, Christie! I really appreciate the encouragement! I'm glad I'm not the only box checker. I'm with you: loosening our grip a bit is necessary sometimes.

Thanks! I started blogging before I had surgery and I'm so glad I did. It keeps me accountable, but more importantly I've found tons of support near and far.

Thanks, Christie! I'm excited to do another half-marathon! Congrats on your running and strength training! I need to start that too! I think 2018 is going to be awesome, too!

Sorry to hear about your knee, Christie! Yes, we'll both be back at running! Happy Thanksgiving!

Running is a lot of fun isn't it? Congrats on signing up for your first Turkey Trot! You'll love it!

I thought about walking it, but my dentist really wants me to take it easy for the first week. It's funny to think that walking 3 miles really isn't a big deal any more like it was 4 years ago. I'm going to embrace the break, though, and finally watch the Macy's Thanksgiving break with a cup of coffee and my family.

    Respect.

I do love Turkey Trots, well, actually any races. I find that the racing community is positive and supportive, no matter what size I've been at each race.

Thank you so much of your kind words and for reading my blog! Some days it's hard to share the bad along with the good, but this journey is so important to me. Thank you so much!!

Hmm, I didn't think about two runs on Christmas! I could use them to run off all the peppermint of the season It is wonderful that exercising can be part of your life isn't it? Thanks!!
