A few years back, I decided to skip with New Year's Resolutions. I find they put so much pressure on me. Instead I go with re-committing myself to a healthy and positive lifestyle. Here's what I wrote about it last year: https://downthescale.com/2016/01/06/...e-commitments/ How's your New Year going?
Having just moved to a new area, I was worried if I would find new running buddies. Fortunately I met one new person so far who is going to be my workout buddy at the Y. I shared my latest story on my blog at: https://downthescale.com/2016/12/19/...-new-hometown/ I found once I become serious about losing weight, exercising, and living healthy it was important to find like-minded people. Have you found the same during your journey? I'd love ...
One of the things I wanted to do when I lost weight was go ice skating. I finally did it last year and wrote about it on my blog: https://downthescale.com/2015/12/08/...he-to-do-list/ https://www.facebook.com/downthescale What is on your list to do when you lose weight? What have you done? I'd love to hear about it! Jen
The Thanksgiving before I had gastric sleeve surgery, I ran m first 5K. It wasn't pretty, but I did it! Every year I run one and while they aren't as physically as hard, they can be mentally hard. Here's my latest story about this year's Turkey Trot https://downthescale.com/2016/12/01/...gh-the-stress/ Anyone else start running after surgery? I'd love to hear your stories! Take care, Jen
Staying healthy during big changes is hard, isn' t it? My family just moved from California to Washington and I must admit I've let my healthy lifestyle slide. I'm getting back to a routine, thank goodness. That includes writing on my blog again at www.downthescale.com Looking forward to living healthy again...especially with the holidays approaching!
