It's hard to think that it's almost been a year! And what a year it has been!!

On 2/17/13 I started my 2 week pre-op diet. I remember thinking this was the new beginning I needed. I was super dedicated to making the best of my surgery and changing my lifestyle. I was very strict on myself and kept to my diet and exercise. I felt ahead of my goals and was confident that I would achieve my goal weight by 1 year post op.

Fast forward 50 weeks and of course I'm having trouble ...

Where have I been for the past 2 months?! I've been around, updating a bit of progress here and there. I haven't blogged because I haven't had any progress really worthy of blogging, haha.

So November/December = HOLIDAY FOOD HELL. I mean, it's all so delicious, and it's great to be able to enjoy those foods knowing I'm definitely not over indulging because my body won't allow me. However, I fell off the horse exercise wise. I tried to stay strong during the week with protein intake/food ...

As of today I am a few days over 36w post-op! I am officially a size M (I was kind of in between before ), 10 in jeans, 12 in work pants, and sitting at 166lbs. As of 10/25 (exactly 34w post op) I hit the GLORIOUS, 100lb loss!

I want to touch on a sizing subject I blogged about previously. One thing I said I noticed was that at 166lbs it's odd to me that I fit in a size 10 (NSV!). When I was 166lbs before, I was definitely a size 14, maybe a 12 at the smallest, but NOWAY a size ...

Where do I start?! I haven't blogged in a while because I feel as though my losses have been a bit uneventful. Since my 6m update, I have only lost 12lbs. Which is typical at this point, I am losing, but obviously not at the rate that I was. I'm still losing, which is all I care about. I am OFFICIALLY 97lbs down! AMAZING, right? I am ecstatic! Only 3lbs to the big 100lb loss hurdle. 38lbs to goal.

Also a few people have told me that I - Ashlie; am, INSPIRING?! ME? Holy crap! ...

I. AM. OFFICIALLY. 180 days post-op. What a difference 6 months can make! In my case it's 85lbs and I couldn't be happier!


I attached a few pics for my before/after. Here are a few stats:
2/15/13 - 2 weeks pre-op, 270lbs, 22 in pants, XL/XXL in shirts/sweaters, bmi: 42.3
8/31/13 - 6 months post-op, 185lbs, 14 in pants, M/L in shirts, bmi: 29.0
