    Water Retention

    Has anyone had unexplained water retention in their legs before/after surgery? I have had water retention problems for the past 10 years, and it is not caused by high blood pressure. You name the test, I have taken it. The Dr's cannot figure out why I have been retaining water. On some days it is up to 10 lbs of water (just in my feet). I look like I am pregnant (belly and all LOL).

    They pump me with Lasix, but doesn't always help.

    Anyone else struggled with ...

    Going through the journey

    I have begun my process in this journey. I have met with the surgeon, and have been meeting with the nutritionist. I have been overweight my entire life, so no prob getting proof of that from the doctors. I meet with the psych next week, and then have to attend a support group the following week. Once that is complete, then they can submit to my insurance. I have talked to my family doctor, and she said she will help in any way that she can, which is Awesome!!
