  1. 12 months ago....

    Hi All

It has been 12 months since I had the surgery so here's my reflection on that time.

I was ready for the surgery, mentally at least. One of the lucky ones with minimal problems. Just the usual issues of learning what and how much food my body can cope with.

Life is different, I'm aware of what and how much I can eat so my eating out experiences have changed. I now order more of what I feel like and don't worry about how much of it I eat. Even ...
  2. The exercise challenge

    Hi all
We are coming into spring over here. Lots of daffodils and lambs in the fields, my favourite time of year. I've been really struggling with getting into exercise as my working days are full and creating the time has not been a priority.

  3. 8 months out and counting

    Hi all

    Hi All

I didn't realise It has been so long since I posted. Weight loss has slowed down but the scales are still dropping so it is all good.
I don't like to think of myself as a gastric sleeve patient but someone who has had a gastric sleeve but has now recovered - just don't like labels.

Anyway I've been working in a factory and some of the workers are heavy like we all used to be. Others are talking about these people saying that are just fat. If they were ...
  5. Better week, broke 90 kilos

    Hi All

Had a much better week. I've been for my checks ups at the weight loss clinic and the nurse and dietitian say I'm right on target. Losing steadily each week. I need to commit to my exercise programme. I could give lots of excises and really good ones but the bottom line is it is time for me to get into exercise. I'm concerned about losing muscle mass and I'm still low on energy and I know that exercise is the solution.

Apart from that, spent the weekend ...
