I am just beginning my journey. I see Dr. Ponce on June 26th. I have already attended an informational class, passed my psych eval, taken a nutrition/psych type class, and had an upper GI. I am a teacher and am hoping to having surgery ASAP, since I am out for summer vacation. I realize that it may take longer to get a surgery date, but I am just anxious to begin my journey. I am currently doing lots of research to prepare myself as much as I can. I will give an update after I see the doctor. ...
Well, nine years ago I had the Lap band. It worked well for the first 2 years, lost 100 lbs, but then it started to give me issues. For the past year, It seems like I'm either throwing up, have the hiccups, heartburn, or severe stomach pains. Not to mention the fact Ive gained 40 lbs back. The last straw was when I had to go to the emergency room twice mothers day week because I thought I was having a heart attack. Come to find out, all symptoms from my slipped band. Soooooo...I went to my surgeon ...

My clothes wont make it another month!
Although I started Couch to 5K before surgery, running is one of the best results of my surgery. It gives me a sense of accomplishment, peace and helps me maintain my weight loss. Here's my latest blog post about running: https://downthescale.com/2017/06/07/...-the-distance/ Best wishes and go and run/walk today!
