My sleeve Journey Continues

Rate this Entry
I visited my bariatric surgeon today. It was the second time that I've seen him since my attempt vsg surgery. Well he discussed what my gastrointestinal specialist has stated regarding crohn's disease and bariatric surgery and he presented me with recent medical studies that contradict my GI's doctor regarding crohn's disease with patients who happen to be overweight.
So to make a long story short, I am going to have surgery on March 10, 2015 to get my VSG. I saw him a month ago and despite my cautious eating habits, I still gained 5 lbs which further supported his recommendation for the surgery. He said that he does not need my gastrointestinal surgeons release to perform the surgery. He even said he has seen people with my form of chrones disease tend to improve after having the VSG surgery.
So my journey continues
