  1. Quick Update

So far things are good. I've been working with my PCP, as well as the Surgeon for the post op weight loss. I've gotten back on my lifting and work out routine for the most part, with more breaks in between, need to get more consistent. I've been thinking about signing up for another power lifting meet just to have another goal to work towards to help motivate me, there are a few in Texas around Christmas. Last year I took home overall at one at my local gym, so I may show up to defend my title. ...
  2. Getting Nervous

So far things have been well, but as time draws near, I'm getting more nervous about the whole situation. I'm hoping and praying things continue to just go smoothly, and we can work everything out that needs to be worked out. Part of the thing I'm worried about is the insurance change at the beginning of 2013. Going from United to Aetna, and the insurance rep said it's easier for approval on Aetna, so hopefully she knows what she's talking about.

  3. 1 more class!

Speaking to the insurance with the doctor, I've only got to do 3 sessions with the nutritionist, so I've got 2 down, 1 to go. I'm hoping she was right, but we won't be able to verify until around the first of the year after I get my insurance information. I have managed to lose a little weight each month, so I think that'll be a good thing once I submit my paperwork showing I'm working. ...
  4. Been a while

I guess I've been busy with other things, cycling and coaching pee wee football, just got away from here. I'd like to think that maybe someone out there is going through the same things as I am, and by reading this, maybe they can get information, plus it helps me vent sometimes.

I found out the city I work for is switching to Aetna insurance Jan. 1st. I was worried at first, but after talking to the insurance rep and HR folks for the city, no coverages are changing, only the ...
  5. Another hurdle to overcome

I got a letter today from the insurance company stating they aren't covering some of the Dr. visits I've recently gone to with my surgeon. Kind of in freak out mode and thinking the insurance co. is going to haggle their way in to turning me in to a out of pocket patient, which means no surgery. I'm trying to not worry, but it states pretty clearly that the services rendered aren't covered on my plan, however the 4 people I asked at the insurance company said surgery was, and the insurance lady ...
