Boy do I miss you guys!!!! Long story but now I'm having bypass on OCTOBER 6th so I joined obesity help forum and the members are BORING and site is way to complicated to navigate. I'm going to be a crasher every once in a while because this forum is the best. Everyone has been so supportive and there is such a wealth of information and stories. Anyway...just needed a gastric sleeve fix. Will check in with you all later. October 6th the best day eva!!!!!

I agree with you about Obesity Help--it has become too big to be effective, and now it's a bit impersonal, but it was once the only forum for WLS patients. You don't need permission to come here. You're still one of the family

why are you getting a bypass? You had a sleeve and now you are getting a bypass? Give us some info on this please, I am very worried that I did the sleeve and that one day it is no longer going to work for me. What happened??? Thanks in advance!!!

oh remember guys her insurance refused to pay for the sleeve but would pay for the full bypass

Adrienne---we don't care what procedure you use---this is all about getting healthy---while most of the tips and suggestions here relate to the sleeve, I am sure that you will be able to apply them to your bypass. And yes, WE ARE THE BEST SLEEVE FAMILY!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU SLEEVE FAMILY!!!!! - Connie

maybe the insurance company would rather take a chance on the gastric bypass...you'd think the sleeve would be a better bet but doesn't matter we still want you to be in our sleeve family...we all support each other here & will always be here for you.

Maybe the insurance company thinks that the sleeve hasn't been around long enough?

Hi Marsha, well i just hear many stories of people that had a sleeve and then they go and get a bypass. I have been doing great with my sleeve no complications what so ever but there is always that fear of losing the weight and then regaining it all back but i guess this is with any weightloss surgery. I do follow the doctor's and nutritionists order to the T so i guess i should be fine. =)

Why are you worried sleeve won't work for you? Care to share?
