    Default So tired

Ok I know I'm doing a lot of adjusting, healing, but lately about two times a day I feel so strange. Extremely tired, no energy. Uggghhh Mind you I am not a couch potatoe.

I'm up early and am always on the move. I'm worried when I go back to work.

Also, I still can't get all my protein in. The shakes make my stomach upset.

    Any suggestions?

Are you able to get protein from anything else? Are you on soft foods or food at all yet?
    Are you taking B12?

I'm taking the bariatric multi-vitamin and B12. I'm on soft foods, but can advance if i feel like it. I think I'm going to have to take that slowly. My stomach has been giving me a fit recently.

You might try adding a shot of New Whey Liquid Protein to a large bottle of water for 42g of protein. I suggest the fruit punch if you do. The orange flavor, in my opinion, tastes bad and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste. Steer clear of that one! lol

I think I am getting most of my nutrients from bariatric vitamins. That's something else to look into if you are not already taking them.

I was taking B12 from almost the beginning and never had issues with my energy. I did best with the EAS protein shakes. I have found that the premier makes me a little queasy. But I will drink the premier at home since I know I can relax and it has more protein. I like I can get 30 grams in 1 premier shake though. So 2 and you are good. With the EAS I would need 4 shakes but they go down smooth for me. I still need shakes to get my protein in usually. It is very hard for me still to do with food alone. But getting enough protein and water helps a lot.

That's another thing that gives me pause for caution (in addition to anesthesia side effects): Feeling drained. I have rheumatoid arthritis which totally sucks the life out of me completely, yet I keep pushing on with my pre-surgery exercise regiment. I don't want to be bedridden from severe fatigue, which my meds for RA are helping me with now.

After being sleeved in April 2015, I had the lingering effects of the post-anesthesia fog for approximately four to six weeks. I was tired, sluggish, unmotivated to do much of anything, and spent most of my days off from work asleep.

My first month was hard too. And protein shakes were most of the time a big no no for my stomach. I did switched brands many times. So I tried to focus on having the more protein possible from split peas soup, lentils, Greek yogourt because those were easy on my stomach. Veggie soup mixed with meat was ok too. Drink as much as possible it will help to get rid of toxins and stay hydrated. You should feel better after one month but in the mean time rest a l lot! Take care!

    Keep trying different ideas.
W/O protein fluids and vitamins... u will fail
Find a regime keep on it and do it over and over until you cannot stand it anymore.
Force the fluids, take the vitamins then find a protein shake, soup something that is tolerable.

If you are still unable, check in with your doctor... once you go back to work you need to be more stable,,, it takes a long for some.. we are all different... don't give up now.
Keep your chin up and these fellow wls will steer you in the rigtht direction.
    Best

I'm drinking the EAS shakes and they are 30 grams of protein and smaller than most brands.

Well, yesterday I received my B12 nasal spray. You take it once a week. Since I'm not at my Maryland address it took extra time to get to Florida. Anyway, I went out on a hunt for a protein drink, found one.

Came back home, barely had the energy to climb our front steps. Weird feeling. Sat down, did the spray, drank the protein drink, took my Rx Iron that also arrived. and rested.

Ate a good dinner chicken and one little hunk of steamed cauliflower and wow I felt like a new women.

Also in my kit sent by the pharmacy was calcium and a multivitamin all baratric and a LOG book, which I started yesterday!
