Hello all. My name is John. I'm 6'4" and when I first called about surgery in December, I was 336 pounds. I started my liquid diet pre op on January 1rst. 5 days with just fluids. I thought it would be terrible. It wasn't. I weighed myself before surgery and I had lost 3 pounds. That was it. I was pretty disappointed to be honest. But I had the surgery on Jan 6. It sucked. No doubt. But I was puking and burping and was really struggling. My roommate had it so so easy. Nothing strange at all. I kind of regretted my decision for a couple days. But after getting home on the 10th. I weighed myself on my scales and I had lost about 10 pounds total. Not bad. I'm sticking with the diet strictly. No cheating except I take a spoonful of honey some days. It's January 20th now, and when I got on the scale this evening, I have lost 39 pounds. In 20 total days. Other people who have had the surgery in my group have lost 8-20. I'm staying on the liquid diet another week. It I think I need to start taking a Vitamin. Anyway. Go into this with a clear picture of what you're getting into and realize it's a life changing event. You can't eat the same way as before. Good luck
