I was just sitting at the kitchen table, trying to get down some dinner and was feeling a bit bummed. I figured there has to be a forum out there for this and lo and behold! There was!

I don't know really what to say about myself - recently operated, just learning the ropes, palliative care nurse. Always been overweight but active. Got tired of trying to keep the weight off.

I live outside of Stockholm, Sweden but was born and raised in Erie, PA. Have lived here now for 20+ years.

I'm looking forward to reading about you all and learning how to do this!

Well welcome!! You came to the right place! I think feeling a bit bummed is usual in the beginning, so I think you're doing just fine. I had my surgery on JAN5 and I feel that way sometimes. I'm just trying to adjust to my new tummy and learning a lot from this forum.

Ask a question, state a concern and you'll get a response.

My problem is I still can't get in the required protein, so I'm working on that.

There's a lot I still need to understand.

I did the same day out like your are and the yogurt and cottage cheese was a godsend. Perked me right up and I had the blessing from my doctor!

Welcome Marcia! This site it amazing. Trust me when I tell you that if you have a question, odds are you will find someone on this site who has been there and can share their experiences. This place is amazing and pretty much everyone is supportive! When you are able to eat foods things do get a lot easier. Just remember to eat very slowly and chew a lot. Any questions that you have, just reach out.
