Hi,
How long after your surgery were you doing regular household chores?
Thanks!
I was feeling well enough to do household chores and run errands at about five days post-op. After the fourth post-op day I no longer needed any pain medications.

Depends what you're referring to. Mostly Immediately. With the exception of lifting anything over 10 pounds. In the hospital I didn't have any pain meds more than Tylenol. I had nothing when I came home. I didn't have pain, just discomfort. I listened to my body and rested when I needed to.
I was sort of thrown a wrench into my recovery plan. My husband came down with influenza the day of my surgery. We have a 9 year old. He tried to do as much as he can for her and our dogs, but I ended up helping. I had prepared meals for them before surgery so things just needed to be reheated.
Even at my 1 week post op dr appointment he stressed no lifting over 10 pounds and that includes a laundry basket and vacuum.
Honestly, about two weeks later for me.
