i'm 2 months out and i still have a hard time with plain water. I drink cool or room temp iced tea. I drink 2 24 oz water bottles of tea during the day 1 8 oz protein in the am and try to get at least 1/2 another 24oz bottle between 5pm and bed. Some days are better than others. I can do 3 sips at a time them i have to have a break

I'm drinking water ok. I also have to drink a little at a time and for me, the colder the better. For one of ladies I met in Mexico, she said it has to be room temp.
I don't do the shakes. I just cant. I try to get protein from eggs, cottage cheese and meats. I don't eat much, but it's usually all protein.

At support group last night my nutritionist said dehydration is the #1 reason people are readmitted to the hospital after bariatric surgery. And if you are like me, with no insurance coverage for bariatric surgery, that also means no hospital coverage for bariatric-related complications. If I was put back in the hospital, totally self pay, it would bankrupt my family. So drink what they tell you, it is not hard to sip all day long. I don't understand people who say "I just can't do it." You really don't have a choice.

I don't get thirsty. I use to before surgery but after its a different story. I'm concerned of the lack of water I drink now which is hard to remember to drink. I might only get a 16 oz a day plus 2 cups of coffee. I try to remember to drink. I don't know understand why I'm not thirsty or hardly feel the urge to drink.
