    Default Two weeks post surgery.

So the good news is that experienced no pain. And Have been pretty good at getting quit a bit of fluids in me (70oz) and protein (55-70g). My weight lost was rapid the first 10 days - the past three I haven't lost anything. (maybe to much protein?) ( I dunno) I have been walking and staying active. Today I biked 3 miles, and walked about 60 minutes.

The negative that I experienced was one or two days of rather extreme lethargy. (before I really kicked up my protein intake). Haven't been too constipated considering I'm taking in no fiber and no solids.

Tomorrow I get to eat a 1/4 of a sweet potato. That will rock.

Did anyone else have a dead halt in weight lost their second week?
All feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks

Welcome to the week three stall, it happens anywhere between week two and five. It happens to everyone just stay with the program. Consult your nutritionist about how much protein you need but you may even not be getting enough. My weight was around yours at the start and they wanted me getting 100-110 g of protein per day. I stalled for about two and half weeks then was able to increase my proteins and the weight loss started again. Be patient and

oh wow. interesting. I was worried I might be getting to much protein - and without enough activity it was turning to fat...(I made that science up, I think)...thanks for the feedback !

You are doing great, at least better than me. I had trouble getting in fluids and proteins the first three weeks. And your exercise levels are good too.

I've been lucky with keeping stuff down. the isopure water has been key.
as far that "better than you" _ I don't think so...I didn't loose but a pound or two before surgery...but I am committed to staying active - i think they said I need to wait a month before i can lift weights...

    thanks for the support.

You're doing fine, Thom. Just went back and checked my post-surgery calendar. Weeks 3 - 4 I stayed stuck at 245. Week 5 I suddenly started losing again. Just stick with your program, and keep walking, even if you can't lift weights just yet. You'll get there!

You are doing great by getting in your requirements. I ended up back in the hospital for five extra days because of dehydration. I was unable to get enough in and almost caused real damage from dehydration. I went into the ER on Monday night and got 5 bags of fluid per day and never peed until Wednesday night. Stay within the doctors program and you will continue to do great things.

The stall is very normal. I stalled at 3 weeks too. You just have to let your body catch up. It is confused. Don't give up! And keep doing what you are doing.
