    Default I feel WONDERFUL

Dec 19th was my surgery date...Everything was a success. Dec 26th I woke up with the flu bug, mostly just vomitting.Dr prescribed Zofran if helped with the vomiting but needed to take it thru Dec 28th. I just could get feeling better very weak and sooooo tired. Woke up on Friday the 30 the back to hospital with dehydration. Sent home a couple hrs later feeling a little better. Started drinking Pedialyte on Sat the 31st...Just don't feel good. Forced my body to church on Sunday am and looked when we got home...Here is where it gets really good......I called my surgeon and he thinks my body was in so much protien for so long that my body thought it was a diabetic.he told me to get a cup of ice cream (gladly) and after an hour I felt like a new person. So, what we thought was a long bout with the flu was my blood sugar being so low I needed some fat and sugar to make me feel better. Dr said that he sees this once in awhile and that my body may need a couple weeks to feel normal. So I went back to work on Jan 3rd and just make sure I have a PC of candy close if I feel like this again.

I have made bean soup this weekend and pureed it and had some meat loaf and green beans today!!!!
NEVER NEVER will I regret this surgery and am down 60lbs since I started this journey on Sept 10th... Just a bump in the road on my life journey!!!!

Never give up and keep God on your side👍👍☝☝

I had a stomach flu around week 3 post-op. I also had to go back to the hospital.
Of course besides dehydration since I was not eating much I was feeling bad. I did have low blood sugar too (dizzy/light headed), that's when my team told me not to go low carb...
I never really followed completely their meal plan but had to have more carbs in my diet. It did take a few months to get better.
