My procedure is scheduled for the 11th but my Dr doesn't do a full pre-op diet like others on here. They suggest no carb/low fat for the week before. I know all dr are different.

Having said that, when I cut out carbs or processed food after the first few days, I always feel amazing.

My pre op diet was a shake for breakfast and dinnner with lunch being lean protein and veggies. Then the 3 days before surgery was shakes and liquids only. I felt good overall because I was losing weight but during the all liquids it gave me thrush. I had to get a prescription for a rinse to get rid of it. Even now, with the weight I've lost, it's amazing the changes in all health related matters. The thing I'm looking forward to now is being able to get off my blood pressure meds. While it's definitely gone down, I'm still not there yet. Hopefully just a few more months.

I am currently on the the pre-op diet and I feel a lot healthier. My surgery is in two days time, starting to feel nervous now.
