I agree. HMR shakes do fast good. They have milk based and egg based.

I just ordered the PB2 from Wal Mart... they didn't have it in the store so they are ordering it and I can pick it up next week. Do you think it would taste good in a plain greek yogurt? (That is one of my items on the list to eat.)

The EAS is not watery but not too think. And the flavor is spot on. No weird aftertaste. Goes down smooth. I really like it.

I'm going to try this. The Protein Plus is too foamy and airy.

Wow, 80 on Christmas... that is very warm.
I had to shrink my profile picture down to smaller pixels to upload it (and hoping my body shrinks down too very soon, LOL!)

I was told to use premier shakes post surgery. I found adding cinnamon to the vanilla and icing it improved the taste.

My plan originally before seeing the nutritionist the other day, was to try a few different shakes and brands over the next month or so to see what I liked, so after surgery I would be prepared and stocked up. But when I saw the nutritionist and she said that the doctor requires this specific diet the patients are to start now, I began my taste testing earlier than planned.

I just drank the Premier Protein CHOCOLATE shake for breakfast and it tasted GOOD! SO much better than the Rich Chocolate PURE PROTEIN. (I am still going to try the EAS Advant Edge that Christie mentioned.)

I've not tried it in yogurt but I suspect it wouldn't add too much to the taste of plain yogurt. Maybe vanilla yogurt? Prior to my diet I added it to my oatmeal every morning and that IS delish! My oatmeal has a bit of brown sugar and maple in it though. Adding the PB2 to my vanilla shake is like a good old fashioned peanut butter shake. It doesn't taste diet'y at all.

I've found, in general, that PB2 is a good additive flavor, but rather bland as a lead flavor in my opinion.

I also had a problem with the protein shakes but the one that has seemed to work for me is the Premier protein 4 pack shakes at Walmart. The strawberries and cream and bananas and cream are not very bad. It hasn't left an after taste in my mouth like the others have. Good luck.

Yes, that is the 4 pack I bought yesterday: the Premier Protein. They are in a cardboard/milk carton type bottle, and the chocolate was very good (compared to the other brand I tried the day before.... my gag reflex was being restrained with that one!!) I didn't notice the other flavors but will try them too.
