My average is 140 with a 5 pound range, from 138 to 142. At 143 I go back to strict protein and veggies or even the good old preop liquid protein until I'm back down to 138. I don't actually weigh regularly, but I can easily judge where I am in my range based on how my jeans fit. It's crazy how 5 pounds is so noticeable at this weight. 5 pounds meant nothing when I was 230+ pounds. Surprisingly, though, my jeans have all been sagging on me with the scale reading 135-136 for several weeks...even with my crappy holiday eating. Must be the new BF. Less grazing in front of the TV, more cardio .

I usually get freaked if I'm close to 138. I've been below 140 for several weeks and it feels so good, so don't want to see that number again. Like Kindle, if I see anything above 138, then I cut back on the carbs and I'm more mindful of my protein and water. I am also doing the 5 day pouch test this week since I got a little crazy the past couple of weeks due to the holidays. It has helped with the carb cravings and get back on track.

My goal is 135. And I don't like it when I see 136 point anything on the scale in the mornings. (I weigh every morning.)

But what matters most to me is my Monday morning weight. What I'm looking for there is anything under 135.6 (that's what an even 100 pound loss looks like for me).

If my weight is above that, I immediately cut back 300 calories, keeping my protein high and veggies high. That basically means cutting out my "treats" foods -- biscotti, dark chocolate, wine.

This has been working for me for over a year now.

FYI, here's my last 30 days of morning weigh-ins from MFP:

I allow a 3-5 lb. range for a "comfortable" regain, anymore than that and I panic I can also feel it in my clothes and my belly gets bloated when I eat more carbs than usual. I don't like the feeling. Also, I laughed the other day because I said when I was 285, I didn't ever think I felt "bloated" it must have been my normal state of being

Kindle, you go girl, the cardio thing is good for mind and body Enjoy!

I just wanted to drop a quick comment and let you know that you ladies are inspiring to me and I read TONS of your posts. I like a straight talking, no BS giving kind of support and I am glad you're here.

2 weeks till I get my sleeve, nerves are kicking in and I'm starting to lose sleep from feeling anxious at night. Other than that I'm very excited to be 2 weeks away from a new beginning. I know I will have all the tools I need to succeed, and I plan to take full advantage of them.

If you use the next year to really pay attention to your physical hunger signs and get back in touch with only eating when your body tells you, you will get to your body's idea weight and stay within your own range of plus and minus pounds. It is important you now learn to rely on your own levels instead of having someone tell you what it should be. This is an important part of this process and requires a lot of work separating the emotional triggers from the physical sensations that will guide you.
Two years out and I still have occasional binges, but I recognize where they come from now. I have figured out what triggers them (interactions with my mother) I am practicing the skills that do help with the emotions this contact brings up . The fear of gaining weight gets less and less the longer I stay at my current weight. Right now I just finished a binge. It was shorter in duration and intensity than last year. Today I am back on track and my weight is right where it needs to be. Good luck with this part of your journey. It is so worth it!
