Hi everybody,
As I said, I am from the Netherlands.
I am going to have my Sleeve beginning of next month, and I want to learn as much as possible about the procedure and life after the Sleeve...
I've already been reading here for some time now.
I am especially interested in the theory and diet of Matthew Weiner.
I hope to learn a lot here!

I had my surgery in Asia. Here the nutritionist give different guidelines compare to the one in the US or even Mexico. in Asia it's close from what bariatric teams say in France actually. So I kind of mixed advices. I do go for 60 gr protein per day but try to use vegan as much as possible. I did read Dr Weiner's book three years ago and did watch his videos last year. If you use Kindle unlimited the book is free right now.
The only thing that I still do is drink protein shakes because even if many advise against -Dr A do- I think it's still better to get shakes to reach the right protein level if you can't only using food.

Hi! I recommend the videos by Dr.Alvarez at Endobariatric. He's on youtube and posts the videos on here as well. My doctor wasn't informative at all, the only time I met him was at the initial consultation, and at that point I wanted lapband, so I didn't have questions prepared for the sleeve, I didn't even know what it was. The videos by Dr.Alvarez have really helped answer any questions I've had, and if he hasn't touched upon something you'd like to know, you can ask a question and it may be picked for the next video (I think he makes one weekly) They are quick, maybe 3 minutes each, each answers 3 questions. I'm not familiar with Dr.Weiner's approach, so I'll go check that out as well
