Any sleevers get cosmetic surgery after losing the weight?

Hey Sleevers,

Have any of the veterans gone through the post-op, post-weightloss cosmetic surgeries (tummy tuck, arms, legs, etc.)? I'm wondering what your journey was like, when you decided to do the surgery, how you paid for it, how much it cost, what you think about the results?

I could use a tummy tuck, but when I watched the presentation at support group it freaked me out, being sliced from hip to hip. (Just the thought of the pain and possibility of infection with such a huge incision.) But I only had 75 pounds to lose, my tummy looks flat under clothes, and I'm a chicken. Plus it would take time from my now very active life. So none for me.

Not to discourage you, but I heard tummy tucks are pretty painful.. but you get results fast

If I were young, I would look into it. I am almost 50 and married so I am just going to live with my extra skin.

I had a corset trunkplasty performed. It is a VERY extensive surgery. Took 14lbs of skin and fat and you look like it says...like you are wearing a tight corset!! Hour glass figure! It is not something for the faint of heart as there is PAIN and a 6mth recovery time. It is cosmetic so insurance wont be paying for it. I have heard though that skin clinics will pay for a basic tummy tuck and you donate your skin.
