    Default Dating at 50...

    Hello friends,

I haven't seen this topic very often on here, so I thought I would throw this out there. So, most of you know I am getting divorced and have started dating. Tonight is my 3rd one, with different people, because one thing I am not going to do is just settle with one person. After 27 years of being married to someone who never loved me, I am really enjoying this! My daughter and her friend took me to the mall, because I wanted some non-mom jeans! lol! So we went to Buckle, and I got my behind in sz 29 jeans! I was like, wait, what?? I used to wear sz 26 pants when I weighed 280! So, no, it is apparently European size? Anyway, they look soooo good! I have a sparkly butt! heehee! I am waiting to get going, but feel like I am going to be sick every time I meet someone new. Is this normal? Do you guys feel the same? If we could just skip right over that first meeting, that woukd be awesome! Nevertheless, here I go! Wish me luck! lol

After being married for so long, I'm guessing feeling sick when you meet someone is pretty normal. Even if your head is ready, may be it takes longer for your body (or vice versa). Anyway, good for you for being back on the dating scene! I hope you will find someone nice! good luck (sparkly butt will definitely help :-) and take care!

He was wonderful, and I really liked him-therefore, I will probably not hear from him again! lol. Well, experience for next time! Keeping it real!

Relax and have fun! Meet new people. (I can't give any dating advice as I just celebrated my 38th anniversary, but I can imagine it would be a little scary.)

Oh, I want to call him, but I sent a follow up text that evening saying thank you, etc. The next move is his. lol. From what I've read, guys seem to have this 3 day rule about contacting you again? Is that true, or just a bunch of BS? Geez, I am getting way too old for games-if you like someone or are not interested, why can't you just let them know??

That's the philosophy I have adopted. It is fun! I am super picky, so have had the chance to meet some really nice people. The creepy ones and the younger ones that are only interested in alleviating boredom, no thanks! lol
