Hi everbody! I have been exercising diligently (maybe skip a day or two, here and there but seldom)
since last September. I have worked up to 20-25mi/week of running/jogging/brisk walking.
I also get in some kind resistance training 2x week. It's usually pilates, yoga, or low weight/
hi rep. I usually do step or zumba on Mondays. Haven't felt this great since I was 40.
Until this morning. Last week, with family visits & the holiday blah blah blah, I only got in 1
day of cardio but managed 2x resistance days. I usually take the weekends off from my
routine, but incorporate activity with housework, yardwork, biking etc.
So I tried step class this morning & I COULD NOT get out of my own way! after 15-20 mins I felt
like I had run a marathon. Hydrated. I feel like I've been run over by a Mack truck. I had my usual
pre-workout triple zero Oikos & banana.
>>> my question is...could those days off from cardio have effected my fitness level so quickly?
I'll be 60 in January if that matters. I am 26 lbs from my goal.
